Parents Only

CJDS welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. Our families hail from different countries, and they represent diverse religious practices and beliefs. In accordance with our bylaws, we accept all Jewish children (students must have at least one Jewish parent).

Our admissions process begins in November and continues until classes have been filled. An Open House for parents of prospective students is held in November of each year.

Prior to initially enrolling a child, parents are encouraged to visit the school and to meet with our Director to learn more about the school’s philosophy, curriculum, and policies. A completed application form and the required fees are due at the time of registration. Students are admitted on the basis of academic testing, school records, interviews, and past teacher recommendations. The school does not guarantee accommodations for children with special behavioral or educational needs. Such situations are addressed individually on a case-by-case basis by the Director and the admissions committee.

Financial Assistance
CJDS provides financial assistance to students in need. The assistance takes the form of either deferred tuition payment plans or reduction of tuition. Funds are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. Financial information, including the most recent paycheck stub and tax returns, and application fee must accompany all applications for assistance. Eligibility is determined by an outside agency. Forms can be obtained from the school Director. All applications and supporting information are kept strictly confidential, and names are seen only by the Director.
